24/7

I am bored to death. Doing same things again and again. Day after day. Day in and day out. As they say 24/7. It’s a torturous existence. If this is what they call highest form of life, I think it’s better not to have it.

Wake up in the morning, brush your teeth, go to toilet, take bath. It’s boring man. Why do you need to brush your teeth every morning, 365 days a year? Just to prevent some bad smell and because your teeth appears white? I don’t think there is any other reason why people brush their teeth besides that. Taking bath everyday. Why? You feel fresh and if you use a soap to clean your body, it will not smell. Then there is that greatest drama -- eating and shitting. What’s the use? Why do you need to eat everyday? Just to keep your body functioning. And to do what? That boring routine stuff again and again. Is there any meaning?

Wash your cloths every week and iron it. Repeat the same thing every weekend. Go to office every week, repeat the same foolishness everyday. Crack those same boring jokes again and again and pretend that you are enjoying the process. In your heart, you know that it’s meaningless. Your job is useless. The only thing you want is the salary you get at the end of every month. And what do you do from that money? Repeat the same boring things again and again. Buy new cloths (which will become old after few months), buy a new cell phone or a video game, buy a car, buy some more junk stocks, drink liquor, go to pubs, go to discotheques, watch those silly movies with your girlfriends. And still at the end of it all, life remains as boring as ever.

Somebody will read books, listen to music, remain active in those silly social networking sites, claim to do yoga. But, they are also as miserable as the other regular types, who live their boring life.

Every week, make phone calls to your loved ones and get assured that they are still alive. What’s the point? They will call you to find out the same. Does it make any difference whether you remain alive or not? Even when you are dead, only a few people will miss you, if at all. That too maximum for 12 days. Then they will say the “the show must go on”. And what’s that show? Eating and shitting, taking bath, brushing teeth, going to office, going to pub, buying a new gizmo, playing a new video game, sex, music, games….

Where are they?

There is no pain greater than the pain of separation. Destiny has snatched so many things from me. Friends with whom I have spent years, are gone forever. I don't know where they are. I don't know whether they are alive. They have simply vanished from my life. Where are those beautiful people?

Where are the delicacies I used to eat in my childhood? I haven't eaten them since ages. I have even forgotten how they looked like. Where are those festivals when mother and sister used to make mouth-watering food items? Where are those home-made sweets and farsan? Where are those childhood festivals? Gone forever.

Where is that excitement and passion for life? Where is that easy-going life? Where are those moments of peace and relaxation? where are those days when you never worried about money? Where are those days when you felt like the most happiest person in this world? Where is that careless youth? Where are those moments of intense depression? Probably gone forever.

Where is that passion for watching movies? Where is that passion for reading books? Where is that passion for singing? Where is that passion to live?

A Letter to a Hindu

Before two days I was sick and tired and was unable to decide what to read and what not as my internet connection was going to remain down for next 48 hours. I have thousands of e-books but to read something on computer is real pain in the wrong place. After much confusion and hours of absentminded exercise I decided to continue with the two books I was reading at that time. But after few hours of struggling I decided to continue with only one book at a time and that was obviously the War and Peace by Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy. I found the other book, The Google Story by David A. Vise, full of information but very boring and rather chockfull. I had finished about 20 chapters from book I of War and Peace and now I am in no mood to continue with that book for next few days. But I must admit that I have enjoyed this book a lot and it gave me immense pleasure and satisfaction of reading unlike what happened with Dostoevsky’s Idiot. I am also reading few e-books by the same author which are in public domain now and can easily be downloaded from the web or are available for online reading. Few essays by Tolstoy and his letter to the editor of Free Hindustan with introduction by Mohandas K. Gandhi are worth a read. He also enjoyed writing tales and fables for children and was very much impressed by the ancient Indian books like Panchtantras.

In his letter to the editor of free Hindustan Tolstoy writes:
The reason for the astonishing fact that a majority of working people submit to a handful of idlers who control their labour and their very lives is always and everywhere the same - whether the oppressors and oppressed are of one race or whether, as in India and elsewhere, the oppressors are of a different nation.

This phenomenon seems particularly strange in India, for there more than two hundred million people, highly gifted both physically and mentally, find themselves in the power of a small group of people quite alien to them in thought, and immeasurably inferior to them in religious morality.
Further he argues:
What does it mean that thirty thousand men, not athletes but rather weak and ordinary people, have subdued two hundred million vigorous, clever, capable, and freedom-loving people? Do not the figures make it clear that it is not the English who have enslaved the Indians, but the Indians who have enslaved themselves?
When the Indians complain that the English have enslaved them it is as if drunkards complained that the spirit-dealers ...have enslaved them. You tell them that they might give up drinking, but they reply ...they cannot abstain, and that they must have alcohol to keep up their energy.
Most memorable line that surely is going to leave a long lasting impression on my mind from this letter was this one:
In the spiritual realm nothing is indifferent: what is not useful is harmful.
Mohandas Gandhi was very much influenced by the writings of Leo Tolstoy and what he says in the introduction to this letter confirms that strongly:

To me, as a humble follower of that great teacher whom I have long looked upon as one of my guides, it is a matter of honour to be connected with the publication of his letter, such especially as the one which is now being given to the world.

He concludes his introduction to the letter with the following lines:

There is no doubt that there is nothing new in what Tolstoy preaches. But his presentation of the old truth is refreshingly forceful. His logic is unassailable. And above all he endeavours to practise what he preaches. He preaches to convince. He is sincere and in earnest. He commands attention.

Now that shows how deeply he was influenced by Tolstoy’s preaching. I don’t know whether or not he was regularly communicating with the editor of Free Hindustan or with Mahatma Gandhi but one thing I am very sure about that he had deeply studied Indian philosophy, culture and literature.

He preferred not to refer his book War and Peace as a novel and said even less it was a history book. In the epilogue II, ch. 1 he says:

History is the life of nations and of humanity. To seize and put into words, to describe directly the life of humanity or even of a single nation, appears impossible.

Probably he understood this after knowing and understanding why Indians don’t write history or why they are against all kind of documentation especially if related to the history. Few of his quotes from this book force me to continue with my reading until I finish it in the near future:

Everything comes in time to him who knows how to wait.

The strongest of all warriors are these two — Time and Patience.

Words like this constantly encourage me to read more and more from his books and I find myself in meditative state after few hours of constant reading. The Kingdom of God is Within You. This is the book I have planned to read after I am done with the War and Peace. This book, classified by many as a work of existentialism, was written by Tolstoy during later years of his life and is regarded as most important of his religious works.

He truly was a genius. Compared with Dostoevsky his work is much more philosophical and very less complicated and to the point. I only have read two books by Dostoevsky and yesterday had had the third one, crime and punishment by the same author and that too a hard copy. But I have planned to gift it to my father and to continue with my reading of Tolstoy. After six months when I will be done with Tolstoy I will give it a second thought.

He is regarded, by some, as the father of the non-violence movement began during the later part of his life. Tolstoy died in 1910 and before that he formulated a unique Christian philosophy which adopted non-resistance to evil as the proper response to aggression. And the best thing about him was that he opposed the idea of private property and most of all the institution of marriage. Eight years after his death, his wife was heard to say, "I lived with Lev Nikolayevich for forty-eight years, but I never really learned what kind of man he was."

The Last Dawn

Downloading autobiographies of Charles Darwin and Theodore Roosevelt and reading notes from underground is a vindicating way of rounding off a long boring and rather hectic day. Last night I enjoyed full 12 hour sleep and was in good mood early in the morning. But then after that my day was a total mess. Without knowing where we were going I followed nikhil like a dumb dog. He dragged me into some T-shirt printing press in karelibaug early in the morning. They do some strange activities in the college and celebrate different 'days' like vegetable day and cleanliness day. As part of this scheduled circus today is the group day and for this so-called 'group day' they wanted their T-shirts printed in the noon so that artists in hostels can write their name on the back of their respective T-shirts. T-shirts are ready now but my day was ruined. It is so boring to roam out and to go to the college meaninglessly. Even when I was a regular student I was never very regular and it contributed the most in my growth as a homo sapiens. Swamiji was there in the college even before we had arrived. Within one hour we were at masi's lari enjoying daal bhaji and chawal. No rotis masi said the second setback of the day. Third one was even funnier and hilarious for me. I lost so many games on FICS today and that too against very low rated players like 1500-.i never ever in my short carrier as a chess player lost so many games in a single day. My tournament score was 2.5/7.0 today, worst ever. In the evening swamiji came again and we went to kalubhai agian. Then after an hour or so at eight in the evening we were at mangal bazar in search of a t-shirt so that swamiji can print an image of OSHO on it. One hour in mangal bazar was most painful and annoying of them all, the final setback really made me a dumb dog. I was so annoyed that I was shouting things and was walking in the lanes of mangal-bazar as if I was there for hafta-vasuli. few sindhi shop-keepers with their faces like tandoori legs in curry unsuccessfully tried to convince me that I could easily print with the help of my t-shirt transparency on their low quality t-shirts. Finally we got one "plane white round neck pure cotton t-shirt" from a fatehgunj store at 9:30. I repeated that phrase at least hundred times at mangal-bazar. All the food-joints were closed when nikhil came back at kalubhai's at 10:30 and that was the final nail in my coffin. Finally after eating mahesh bahi's roti and dal-fry I was so tired that I was unable to read more than two chapters from war and peace. May be this is my last post for now and I am going into hibernation again for sometime as I have to finish few things undone. Good night. Amen.

WAR AND PEACE

After few years of separation we are together again. I am again engaged with my old love-Russia and Eastern Europe. I again am in contact with my eastern European friends via e-mail. Eastern Europe is really one very interesting place to live. Poor but poetic, people of this region are more interesting than even Russians. Few ICQ friends of mine there in EE share music with me through file-sharing. I have a good collection of Romanian and Bulgarian and Slav songs now. Classic, Romantic, Melodies and Rock, and everything else what they listen I have it in my collection. After experimenting with Russian chess style and listening to Eastern European music and enjoying visual arts for years my new passion is their literature. And Tolstoy is the best one to begin with. All those who have read and understood Russian literature here in the blogger’s world I want your opinion and that too rather through a poll. Tell me who is better and more interesting to read. Dostoevsky or Tolstoy. If you don’t want to vote at least leave your comments so I can better understand the nature of their writing. Bye for now. Best from 20box.

Notes from the underground

My interest in Russian literature doubled after reading an article about Tolstoy or Dostoevsky Article was by an English author, translator and critic of Russian Literature. I enjoyed it a lot and have decided to read more and more Russian Classical Literature this summer. so many of the books are in public domain now and i have downloaded all of them. Author of the article says that communists like Stalin and others of his time preferred Tolstoy's work over Dostoevsky's. Tolstoy's work was more philosophical and psychological while Dostoevsky peopled his novels with poor characters and described at length their struggle and social status in his time of Russia. After I finish War and Peace I have decided to read Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky. I am also reading a short novel or novella by Dostoevsky titled Notes from the underground. It is considered the world's first existentialist work. After reading first few paragraphs I liked it so much that i decided to read it twice. I hope i would be able to finish War and Peace before Anando Rock will be here in April. Lazyguru I recommend you to read Notes from the underground and hope that you can find few hard copies of Dostoevsky's books in Mumbai. More about Tolstoy and War and Peace in the evening, till than enjoy this quotes.

Here are few Quotes from the Dostoevsky's The notes from the underground. This novella is in public domain now and you can read the book by clicking the link below.

Project Gutenberg Public Domain Books - Notes from the under ground

  • I am a sick man… I am a spiteful man. I am an unpleasant man. I think my liver is diseased.
  • To be acutely conscious is a disease, a real, honest-to-goodness disease.
  • [T]he best definition of man is: a being that goes on two legs and is ungrateful.
    • More punchy translation: If I had to define man it would be: a biped, ungrateful.
  • When… in the course of all these thousands of years has man ever acted in accordance with his own interests?
  • Two plus two equals five is not without its attractions.
  • Yes - you, you alone must pay for everything because you turned up like this, because I'm a scoundrel, because I'm the nastiest, most ridiculous, pettiest, stupidest, and most envious worm of all those living on earth who're no better than me in any way, but who, the devil knows why, never get embarrassed, while all my life I have to endure insults from every louse - that's my fate. What do I care that you don't understand any of this?
  • I could never stand more than three months of dreaming at a time without feeling an irresistible desire to plunge into society. To plunge into society meant to visit my superior, Anton Antonich Syetochkin. He was the the only permanent acquaintance I have had in my life, and I even wonder at the fact myself now. But I even went to see him only when that phase came over me, and when my dreams had reached such a point of bliss that it became essential to embrace my fellows and all mankind immediately. And for that purpose I needed at least one human being at hand who actually existed. I had to call on Anton Antonich, however, on Tuesday - his at-home day; so I always had to adjust my passionate desire to embrace humanity so that it might fall on a Tuesday.
  • Every man has some reminiscences which he would not tell to everyone, but only to his friends. He has others which he would not reveal even to his friends, but only to himself, and that in secret. But finally there are still others which a man is even afraid to tell himself, and every decent man has a considerable number of such things stored away. That is, one can even say that the more decent he is, the greater the number of such things in his mind.
  • The [Russian] romantic is always intelligent, and I only meant to observe that although we have had foolish romantics they don't count, and they were only so because in the flower of their youth they degenerated into Germans, and to preserve their precious jewel more comfortably, settled somewhere out there—by preference in Weimar or the Black Forest.
  • It was not only that I could not become spiteful, I did not know how to become anything; neither spiteful nor kind, neither a rascal nor an honest man, neither a hero nor an insect. Now, I am living out my life in my corner, taunting myself with the spiteful and useless consolation that an intelligent man cannot become anything seriously, and it is only the fool who becomes anything.
  • Granted I am a babbler, a harmless vexatious babbler, like all of us. But what is to be done if the direct and sole vocation of every intelligent man is babble, that is, the intentional pouring of water through a sieve?
  • ...To care only for well-being seems to me positively ill-bred. Whether it’s good or bad, it is sometimes very pleasant, too, to smash things.

Romanticism

I am back with the last article in the series. Romanticism. Gothic and romantic novels' time period collide with each other towards the end of the romanticism era. During this period novel writing in English flourished. William Wordsworth played a major role in the growth of the English romanticism. Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe (1719) is sometimes referred as the first novel in English language. It was written during this era.

Aestheticism was the by-product of romanticism and neo-classicism. Towards the end of this era especially English writers contributed a lot for its growth. It belongs to the anti-Victorian reaction and was criticised harshly by famous personalities of that time. It took place in the late Victorian period from around 1850 to 1900. Sadly it is considered to have ended with the trial of Oscar Wilde. Oscar Wilde and Algernon Charles Swinburne, both influenced by the French Symbolists and Artists were the major contributors. At that juncture of time, last few decades of nineteenth century, Oscar Wilde also started a school and taught aestheticism in London. The Picture of Dorian Gray, was published in 1891 and was very much criticised by Critics of that era. They noticed that there existed so many things common between Wilde's life and his book, at the time of his trial his book was used as evidence against Wilde. His sexuality was the talk of the town in London. In his own words "the danger was half the excitement". Oscar was certainly influenced by the aesthetic theories of John Ruskin and Walter Pater while at Oxford, and he adopted the pose of an effete young man. Rebours was imitated by Oscar Wilde in his book The Picture of Dorian Gray. Dorian reads an untitled book, which has a profound effect on his view. At his trial Wilde said that his aim in life had been self-realisation through pleasure rather than suffering. After that during post-modern era romantics was rather out-of-date. He was the last major contributor in English romantics writing. Fantasy, The Grotesque, Melodrama and Realism thereafter followed.

Romanticism and Neoclassicism

Two contrasting styles, in both arts and literature, Romanticism and Neoclassicism were developed during 1750 to 1900. Neoclassicism in literature was primarily concerned with classic models and culture and civilization while Romanticism dealt with emotions and dreams and opposed Enlightenment.

The Scottish poet James Macpherson ignited and influenced the early development of Romanticism with success of his Ossian cycle of poems published during the earlier part of this era. During the later part of the nineteenth century this two movements together gave birth to the new movement - Neoromanticism in music. In the early 20th century neo-romanticism gradually evolved into expressionism and realism. Anton Antonovich Delvig a Russian poet and journalist and a close friend of Alexander Pushkin is considered as the father of Russian neoclassicism. During the later part of this era, romanticism out ruled neoclassicism. Movement of romanticism was against the idea of Enlightenment. The term neo-romanticism is related with the movement of romanticism in Britain after 1880. This ended two great movements of romanticism and neoclassicism.

Next time will be back with more on romanticism and literary romanticism and its criticism towards the end of this two era and more.

Exams and Maha-Kumbha

arthur conan doyal is the creater of the immortal character of Sherlock holmes, and i am reading one of his story 'the red headed league'. i don't know much about the ending as i just have started reading this book of short stories and i don't even want to reveal the secrets here so that you can not enjoy that story later. it is a good book, a collection of short stories. as i have read a lot of late i have decided to switch to something which is light in nature and unstressful to mind. and i found this book of short stories in the corner of my room.

as i am about to start my studies from today i have decided to stop reading other stuff from now on and will finish all my unfinished books after the examination. as everybody around knows that this exams are not like the maha-kumbha that arrives in 12 years but a regular 6month event which is not too much anyway. still i have preferred to part with all the books i am reading because i am bored of reading now. i know that this boredom is not going to last very long and soon i shall be normal again and should start reading all kind of nonsense stuff again. i am addicted to reading now and can not live without it.

now let me check my email now, and i will be back with an interesting story about windows 98 second edition and my room partner nikhil and much more.... yes i am in my kholi at sardarnagar and will be back soon. till than good bye.

long live laziness, long live brotherhood.

E-books and a Dr.unkard

i have downloaded more then 100 ebooks today and i will download much more tomorrow to finish my collection of e-books. i have all kind of them now. subject varies but the crux of the matter is nothing but the timepass. i have all the time in the world and i have repeated this sentence like a parrot for 100th time in my last few posts. but what can i do? i even have downloaded a book titled 'how to get a decent job' and other one titled 'how to face interviews'. i dont think that this kind of books are going to help me anyway because i dont face the interviews the way they think one should face. i have sensed certain kind of anxiety in the eyes of my interviewers. they might have thought how strange my answers are and how different. i always experiment a lot so my interviews are always full of fun and comedies, though there are seldom chances of me getting the job. anyway i dont much care about what happens and what not. but someday i will be able to face interviews with out embracing my interviewer.

it is beautiful sunday morning and birds are still sleeping. i also want to go to sleep after i put few more downloads in the queue. i have even downloaded few discourses of OSHO in hindi. they are very old and rare. may be those discourses were given in the mid and late 1970s. how interesting this discourses are? i can not tell you that until i listen to them all and it is going to take some time as i am not in any kind of hurry. it is really very dark outside and it also is raining a bit so i can not go out early in the morning and can not enjoy my regular sessons of cycling+smoking in the morning. i am also very tired and dont want to go out and drain my self. i am also very hungry now and i have to go downstairs to have some snacks.

i still remember the incident exactly as it happened. under some kind of hypnotic infulence i talked with the man who was under the infulence of alcohol. he was like alcohol content 120% guy. yes i am talking about P.D. Mathew. the moochad mannu kaka came to me and told me that this guy was lying near the jackie's lari on the corner of the bridge. mannu kaka, johnty and i inquired a lot and he told me that his daughter is incometax officer and his father is Deputy General of Police, Gujarat State. he was on a 1857 model priya scooter with three gears and was dressed like a railway station bum. manhush kaka offer him a bidi and he said okey. i also enjoyed manukaka's bidi. the guy was talking about beaut of kerala after rains (hallucinations). i tried him to help and understand that he is not in kerala and is in baroda, but the exactly opposite happened. you can not argue with the drunkards and think that you are going to win the arguement. he talked about so many things that i am going to write a book on his teachings. the teachings of Dr. (Dr. is for Dr.unkard) P.D. Mathew. by Saboo Psycho. i will get publishers very soon as i am writing a lot. and even if i dont get one i will publish the whole lot on the blogger and you have to be patient to read all the crap i post regularly. i am going to post the fifth issue of lazicopedia's first volume and it would be the last issue in the volume I. from next month i will again start researching on laziness content available online and will begin second volume. till then bye bye.

long live laziness long live brotherhood.

Reading and 'Self' distruction

i am back again with the salt and spice of phursatgunj. 'self' distruction is my passion and few packs of foursquare a day helps me to attain the goal. phursatgunj is full of people who believe in self distruction some or the other way, and kalubhai is the greatest of them all. it seems as if rain will never stop this season. i was busy reading the holy quran in the morning when nikhil told me to lit a cigi. now i read all kind of ebooks as i dont have money to buy hardcopies. i am reading a few of them alltogether. eleven minutes by paulo is a good one. umesh has a hardcopy of that book and i will try to get the one as soon as possible. i am also reading zeher by paulo. thought my understanding is not very profound but i have all the time in the world to kill time so i read. it also helps me to save money. whenever i move outside my sardarnagar kholi i have to smoke and T, so i prefer to stay inside and read all kind of ebooks. subject doesnt matter much as long as it helps me to kill time. in last few years during my stay in phursatgunj i have read more than 2000 books and still going on strongly. thank god that i dont have a good memory otherwise i would have gone mad just by reading all those books. my understanding is also very poor so i have to read the same line again and again, and it also helps me to kill time again and again. now i have developed a new style of reading, very unique. now i read one page from a book and than one from another and the cycle goes on and on untill i come back to the first book which i have started reading. this method helps me to understand how all books and scriptures in the world is nothing but rubbish. i started doing this with 3 or 4 books at a time but now i read atleast 10 books simultaneously. someday i will stop reading and than will never read or write anything my whole life and i know that is going to happen. sooner or later. my passion for reading is also a part of the bigger and yet important goal of self distruction. when i was a child i had a dream that someday i will be able to read all the books in the world written and spoken about. but now i think it is nothing but all timepass to read and write and i am not very much interested in either. i stroke this keys on the keyboard mindlessly because i dont have anything to do and have all time in the world. reading is divine as far as you dont do it to gain knowledge or try to understand what is written. what is written is written and it is past now, just dont try to interpret and you are creative.

today i shall try to visit our osho meditation centre at karelibaug. dynamic meditation is designed for young and energetic but i will try to imitate 60 year old youth of baroda. they come to centre because they dont have to do anything in the morning and i go to the centre because after dynamic meditation i can enjoy free tea and a good long sleep at sardarnagar kholi. few people in phursatgunj is now interested in dynamic meditation and want to go to the centre with me, few initial shocks will be enough for them to quit even before they begin. i dont care. they come or they dont. now i have to go back to sardarnagar kholi. i have to finish the first chapter of the holy quran, al bakaraah - the cow before i go into bed. will be back soon.

long live laziness. long live brotherhood.

In search of P.D. Ouspensky, and P.D. Mathew.

for last 2 hours i am search this e-book on the internet: in search of miraculous by P.D. Ouspensky.

our search began at 6 pm in the morning. i met bodhisamarpan baba at kalubhai's lari and we were talking about the books osho loved. he told me about a book by the disciple of Dr. G.I. Gurdjieff, P.D. Ouspensky. The book In search of miraculous is a rare one. we went to station book stalls and talked to our sindhi booksellers if they can arrange one for us. they agreed to help us but i think it is not going to work as we have only 1 copy of that book available in india and that too inside the personal library of osho at pune ashram which is not accessable. than i decided to go to railway station and asked the bookseller there that if he can help us out and what he said was very shocking: hai.. aa hu hoi sa? kai chopadi ni vato karo so. he is mad. than we decided to go to cross word tomorrow and search for the book. but i think we wont find one there as in gujarat only 10 people are interested in what GI an PD said and why they said what they said. than i decided to go to internet cafe in the afternoon and i am here. i have searched a lot with no result. google says there are zillions of results but i think not even one is useful to us. somehow through internet communities i will be able to arrange it if possible. afterall osho loved that book.

so now in search of miraculous has ignited a new search: in search of P.D. Ouspensky. this is my new timepass now. i will search it like a madman, like a whirlwind i will roam around the baroda and will try to find one copy. from this bookstore to that bookstore and this internet access point to that internet access point.

phursatgunj is a beautiful place, nothing changes here. i have watched that movie forest gump 16 times in last one month. nothing new is happening here and i am very lazy to even observe changes. for me it is same as it was before 5 years and will be same after 5 years. pehalwan again forgot the url, for him i have to paste it again here. www.blogger.com. and your id is lazyguru but i dont know anything about your password and you have to find it yourself. it also will be a good timepass for you tomorrow. in search of password by Lazyguru. it could be a bestseller if you take pain to punch few keys on your lazy computer's not so user friendly keyboard. i dont know what ranjitsingh is doing these days but as he says, no news is good news.
most of the time i imagine why we all lazy people are so lazy but i think that is the way of life. yes laziness is the way of life. today a drunkard enlighten me, asusual. i will talk about him later. his name was P.D. Methew. he can be in baroda and kerala at the same time. he is an illetrate intellectual. that is a big story and will tell you people about it later. he is funny as hell, amazing. as osho says, i love drunkards, they say such great things and no newspaper takes any notes. his life is full of tragedy and he made it a super hillarious comedy. for him self distruction is the way of life. i dont think i will be able to meet him again in this life but that one hour conversation was really juicy. i will miss him for the great things that he preached. our great moochad mannukaka was also very much impressed. will tell you the full story in my next blog as it can take upto 3 hours of typing and i already have typed enough today.

as promised i shall tell you people about the great forest gump. forest gump is a mentally challenged boy. he is weak in the ways of the world. but his ability to do things mindlessly and singlemindely is amazing. bodhisamarpan baba also loved that movie. the way he runs mindlessly for 3 years is amazing. there is no particular reason behind anything he does. he follow his heart. he never looks back. as his mom says you have to leave your past behind and have to walk on and on. he joins army, plays ping-pong, became a national celebrity, a sailor, a millionaire and much more i dont remember. his childhood girlfriend is also amazing. as his mom says: life is a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get inside. sweet or bitter. movie is beyond explanations and you have to watch it to understand. highly spiritual hidden meaning behind the movie. 5 stars out of 5 stars. a must watch. watch it if you can arrange.

today was a good day so many great things happened at i am very happy early in the morning. it is still dark outside and mosquitoes enjoyed my cold blood very much. now i have to make a move as i am in no mood to bore you people with another edition of lazicopedia today. today i have to go to the technology faculty to listen to fools talking part in an annual exercise of debate - the paramarash, as they say. how shallow their knowledge is and they shout like as they are selling pav-bhaji at baroda railway station. anyway i am not concerned and i go there just to kill time and enjoy foolish talks. subjects varies from ragging to world peace. we also have elections here in the university so it is really funny to go there and watch fools shouting, vote for idiot, vote for joker. but i dont care as it is a good timepass for me. in the evening i also have to go to gidc for that call centre job in which our employers are very much interested and i and umesh are not. shall tell you about great P.D. Mathew tomorrow till than good bye. great day.

long live laziness, long live brotherhood.

my secret diaries.

sardarnagar kholi.
7:30 pm in the morning, August 21.

as the pale yellow sun emitted the first rays of light we were busy discussing what crows are talking about.they were also busy discussing ya-ya, na-na and kra-kra. i, umesh and chintan were there at kamatibaug early in the morning. i dont have to explain everytime that it was a beautiful monday morning and what birds were doing. it is a universal truth, birds are alwasy happy especially crows. they were also busy thinking-what this fools are doing here at 5.a.m. chokidar looked at our faces with both doubt and surety. doubt that we were not there for morning walk and surety that either way he was not concerned. his glance was enegmatic. after two full hours of ha-ha, he-he we came out and were on the roads of phursatgunj. this days phursatgunj looks like switzerland plus mud minus flowers. i was busy reading all the inscriptions on the wlls of EME temple later in the morning. they all were nothing but the numbers. 10th century, 8th century, 11th century. as i dont have anything to do i do such things which keep me busy and away from thinking. i read numbers and imagined why they are so many in numbers and how they communicate with each other. i walked a lot, joked a lot inside the EME temple though it is dangerous. all the time in the world and no money is a deadly combo. what am i doing this days? i take one full hour to dress myself, i study occult arts, read alvin toffler, explain what is siddhartha-the novel to umesh, take an hour to lock my room, a full one hour to finish a cuppa tea, listen to music, watch movies, and still i have so much time left after a full 12 hour of daily sleep. so just to kill time i decided that i should have an ablusion today, a long one. this was my first bath after the independance of india so i obviously prepared for it, bought a shampoo pouch and paper soap. it was indeed a great timepass inside so called bathroom at sardarnagar. it took me two hours to unload myself as i was gravid with my thoughts and good long bath forced the miscarriage of all my thoughts.

all the debris in my room at sardarnagar is now in great harmony. if you try to move a single thing and everything is going to collapse. burden on economy is now grave. inflation is uncontrolable and out of my control. my jeans and t-shirt never complain why i throw them like rubbish. i have everything in my room, everything a cheap aristocrate can afford. my room is more like an inn, people coming and going, leaving garbage behind and i dont care to move it. a cheap aristocrat can afford a bunch of CDs, a broken walk-man, all kind of bags and plastic bags and cases and suitcases and carrybags which he never uses, empty flavoured milk bottles, semi-empty ash trays, a bottle of water, insects, a reptile moving around the walls, books and magazines, a mobile phone and charger, earth pot, nightlamp which he cannot use, pillows, a lock and few thousand keys, grey-brown bed sheets, a pinhole camera, empty and full matchboxes, used match sticks scattered all around the room, sugar, salt, biscuits, wrappers of kurkure and parle-G, toothbrush he rarely use, few pens and notebooks, a set of audio-cassettes, ubuntu, tusnamica doll, chair and table, chess board and pieces, shoes and laces, carbon dioxide with a tint of oxygen, suffocation, and lot more.

my god, i am not a very possessive man but look at the things i have. most of this things are useless just like me, but i am so lazy to stand up and throw those things out of my room. i dont even need 0.005% of them all together. but that is cheao aristocracy after all.

now as i feel like tea i have to move my ass and should go to kalubhai's. i cup of tea plus four square is all that enlightens me at sacred place. they are like prasada. i hope umesh would be there on time so we can discuss all sort of nonsense and our near future. ha-ha, he-he and our evenings pass with joy and bliss, god bless us all. my mobile also needs some charging now but i will look after that some other time as i am in hurry, ha ha. today again i am going to watch the movie forrest gump for the fourth time in last fortnight. i shall tell you people about this great movie but some other time. i have to make a move now. bye.

The Fox is my mynd haiku.

i just tore a page from this ugly looking notebook. it is ugly because
it is full of equations which cannot understand, even if i try to
solve them till eternity. all fun and no maths made my college days
very beautiful and peaceful. as promised in the evening i will try to
write something if possible, a poem. being creative is good and i was
when i used to stay at my den in the extension loby of the great S.J.
Hall. walls of my room spoke it all. 80 No. is divine i think. dan
brown says that no. 1.618 is a divine number but my opinion differs
here, i think if there are any divine numbers they are from 77 to 96.
all other numbers are unholy and why they are unholy? very few can
understand and even less can answer this question. poor memory is a
bliss.

being creative is being spontaneous and vice versa is also true.

even at the dead-slow speed i feel as if my life is moving at
breakneck pace. each moment i die and live, die for nothing and live
that something would happen. even divine intervention can not save my
days now. i am a gone case. gone case is a kind of case designed by
the mad society of america. if you put something into that case it is
gone, that is why gone case the name. same is the case with me, my
father has put lacs of rupees in me and they all are gone.
now i have to give myself a break to read khalil gibran bhai and
should get inspired from his writing to write something on my own. as
scholar.google.com says, stand on the shoulders of the giants. let me
check it out if it is true.

(one hour reading)

now i am back. as i gone through few short stories the one that
inspired me the most tonight was THE FOX. it is all illusion, may be
because i am very hungry right now this story inspired me the most. a
very short story, as khalil said .....

THE FOX
a fox looked at his shadow at sunrise and said, 'i will have a camel
for lunch today' and all morning he went about looking for camels. but
at noon he saw his shadow again-and he said."a mouse will do."
how beautiful and true it is, i have experienced this thing so many
times before. hunger is an illusion. it is not the need of your tummy
but the gravity of your pocket that counts. if you havent ate for two
days but with money in your pocket you never feel hunger. ( i can not
say this about pehalwan, ha ha. but i think for baba it is true.) good
food and an empty pocket can never fulfill hunger. not my stomach
which is hungry but my mind.

so i have created a haiku, that is all i can do after this long
exercise of being creative, ha ha. it follows.

My(nd) Haiku:
Cold is this night, not stomach but my mind.hungry and confine.
this three lines are what i can do at the best. and this is what that
has changed my life tonight. but for tonight only. tomorrow evening i
shall be good old lazy saboo again. god save my day.

long live laziness, long live brotherhood. amen.

Inscrutable Americans

These days I am reading a lot of books. I have just finished Inscrutable Americans. Extremely hilarious stuff. I had a good time reading it. Now, I am on Shantaram. I have read 400 pages of it. So far, it seems interesting. Well, apart from reading there is nothing much to do in my free time in B'lore. Life is ok here. We are going to shift to our new house next week.

NO HURRY NO WORRY

In his book the story of philosophy will durant wrote:

No man who is in hurry is quite civilized.

It took man 10,000 years to develope culture and civilization and they did it very slowly and smartly. no need to hurry no need to go anywhere. just be here and now and everything happens automatically, it's a miracle.

"seating silently the grass grows by itself"

growing naturally, laziness is divine.
